A Paper-Based Cantilever Beam Mini Actuator Using Hygro-Thermal Response

New technological and scientific advances in the development of sensors actuators demand new devices to deal with recent problems challenges these emerging processes. Moreover, paper-based have tremendous potential for developing as paper exhibits capillary transport hygroexpansion due swelling fibers when absorbing water. Therefore, this proposes a mini actuator that is based on hygro-thermal-paper-based cantilever beam activated by means droplet an aqueous solution combination circulating electrical current analyze its response. The contribution proposal includes analysis flexural response it tested using two different solutions: distilled water water/alcohol solution. Additionally, four cases related volume are studied statistical bending responses presented. results achieved show water-alcohol solutions lower deviation comparison only. demonstrated specific change maximum displacement obtained according type Thus, suggested can be tuned solutions.
